Born in Brazil and raised in the Netherlands, I’ve spent my whole life in the kitchen. From a young age, I’ve been curious about all the flavors, scents, and experiences I have yet to discover. There’s nothing that brings me more joy than cooking all day for friends and family. My small balcony is my pride and joy, where I lovingly tend to my 1 tomato plant. For me, cooking isn’t just a passion; it’s a way to share my love and storys with those around me.
By infusing my personal motivation into the core values of SofieLiana, I aspire to inspire individuals and companies in the food and beverage industry to embrace creativity, sustainability, and cultural appreciation. With a genuine passion for food and innovation, my studies in food innovation at HAS green acadamy, focused on food and design, have allowed me to explore the endless possibilities that food offers. My internship in Brazil at Reenvolver (a company that Strengthening production chains and adding value to sociobiodiversity products by innovating) further fueled my enthusiasm for enhancing the value of food products through techniques. Devoted to my craft, I strive to create delicious and inspiring culinary experiences that surpass expectations.

Sustainability is at the heart of my personal motivation. I firmly believe in making sustainable and circular choices to create a better future for individuals and the planet. Incorporating sustainability into the food and beverage industry is crucial for long-term success and environmental, social and economical preservation. Therefore, I am dedicated to assisting businesses in developing innovative concepts that prioritize sustainability, guiding them toward a more environmentally friendly and responsible path.

Working indirect with indigenous communities in Brazil and exploring indigenous Dutch plants, later in my journey, have given me a profound understanding of the cultural value and potential of ingredients. I value the diverse food cultures and aim to integrate traditional knowledge and practices into modern food concepts. By incorporating socio-biodiversity and cultural elements, I strive to promote appreciation for different culinary traditions and empower indigenous communities.
